Novak on the situation in the global energy market:
— Russia guarantees that it will continue to supply the maximum possible volume of energy resources to the international market;
- Russia is ready for Europe to refuse Russian energy resources;
- Russia, in connection with the ban on Nord Stream 2, has the right to make a mirror decision and impose an embargo on gas pumping through SP-1: “But so far we have not made this decision. No one will benefit from this”;
- refusal of Russian oil will lead to catastrophic consequences for the market. The surge in prices will be unpredictable - more than $300 per barrel;
- it is impossible to quickly replace the volume of Russian oil on the European market, and its ban will lead to a rise in prices for fuel, electricity and heating in Europe and the USA;
- Russia has nothing to do with the rise in oil and gas prices on the world market, this was the result of irresponsible statements by European politicians.
Novak also said that there is information about an impending provocation against gas pumping stations in Ukraine, and reports of attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant are fake.
