Hi nchi yetu ni kubwa sana ukilinganisha na hizo nchi. Utakuta huzi tulizojenga kwa uchache wake zitaenea eneo kubwa la hizo nchi. Bado tuendelee kuikumbusha Serikali watimize wajibu wao

Abstract:​

Road user perceptions and roadway design elements play a vital role in determining the crash risk level on the roads. The study investigated factors that play a prominent role in causing road traffic crashes on rural roads on the Namibian road network. The study found that animals and pedestrians were the highest cause of road traffic crashes on the study sections. The high volume of vehicles traversing the roads section combined with the lack of appropriate barriers to separate traffic from the high presence of animals and pedestrians along the study section contributed to the hazardous safety situation on the road. The study identified that drivers losing control of vehicles on the study sections was one of the highest cause of traffic crashes. Speeding combined with negative design of various road elements directly impacts driver perceptions of the road environment and misleads road users, thereby leading to human errors that influence the frequency and severity of road crashes on the study section. The study identified under-reporting and misinformation on road crashes as some of the factors impeding the development of a vivid picture on the actual scale of the road safety problem on Namibian rural roads. The analysis of the road crashes will assist and enable road safety stakeholders in identifying, developing and implementing appropriate safety measures to sustainably address the road safety issue on Namibian roads. In addition to the road safety assessment, a road design audit carried out on the study section found that the shoulder grade and lane widths did not comply with the Technical Recommendations for Highways 17 on the Geometric Design of Rural Roads in Namibia. The study therefore developed multivariate road crash models using Negative Binomial Regression to investigate the extent of the link between road crash rates of various severity and the road design elements. The models identified several interactive relationships between lane widths, shoulders widths, 85th operating speed and horizontal curve radii on the section that significantly influenced crash rates on the roads.

Binafsi mapendekezo yangu ni mawili:
1.Makusudio ya awali ya kuanzishwa TANROADS yazingatiwe na uendeshaji wake pia uwe katika kiwango cha kimataifa, tusirudi tena kwenye kuiendesha kisiasa. Huu ndio ugonjwa mkubwa wa nchi yetu kwa institution kadhaa ambazo ni nyeti kwa maendeleo yetu: proper governance.
2. Tuwakodi na kuwapa tenda mabingwa wa ku design miondombinu, Wachina, watusaidie kupendekeza namna ya kufupisha na kukiweka sawa kipande kile cha maili 8 cha Mlima Kitonga. Likitokea tatizo pale njia mbadala kutoka Kusini Nyanda za Juu, Malawi, Zambia na sehemu ya DRC kuja bandarini Dar ni kuzunguka kupitia Dodoma ambako tena unakutana na mtihani mwingine wa mlima Nyang'oro! Wajapan hawakutengeneza Kitonga kwa ajili ya miaka mingi ijayo. Tusahihishe hizo maili 8 tu!
Magu ana mkono wake hapa,yeye si Engineer lakini alijipambanua kuliko Engineer na kuweza kutumia nyadhifa zake na uzoefu wake kusimamia ujenzi wa barabara.Kumbe maamuzi yake yapo yanayokuja kuleta shida kubwa sana.

Hakuna nchi ya North Africa inayoishinda Namibia kwa barabara, barabara za across the country huko Namibia kwenu ni runway za ndege kwenye airports mnazoziona za maana. Interchange roads(wenyewe mnadhani ni flyover) mnazopigia kelele kwao zipo mpaka vijijini na za miaka mingi sana, flyover zipo nyingi na wala hawazishangai.
Tuje kwenye quality ya barabara, South Africa in terms of the network ni best kwa Africa lakini kuna sehemu nyingi pia ambapo standards zipo chini na zinahitaji overhaul kitu ambacho kwa Namibia ni sehemu chache sana zenye kuhitaji matengenezo.
North African countries miji yao barabara ziko vizuri lakini sehemu nyingine mpaka barabara za vumbi/mchanga/kokoto zipo sana tu.
Bila kuwa unatembea hata kama shughuli zako si za kutembea basi hata vacations once in a while si kitu kibaya, kuna nchi zipo levels amazing mpaka unajiuliza sisi tunakwama wapi.

Acha kujiaibisha kwa upupu wa kwenye Google, umeulizwa swali kama umeshawahi kufika so jibu stahiki ni ndiyo au hapana.
Hakuna nchi iliyo perfect duniani katika miundombinu, hata Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore au USA bado wana matatizo yao mengi tu kwenye barabara zao hivyo hizo rubbish zako haziswihi kabisa kuzifanya kuwa ni jibu stahiki.
 
Shida yetu kubwa inaanzia kwenye planning, unaacha watu wajijengee tu popote pale kweny space. Halaf et unasubir watu wajijengee hovyo ndo ulete barabara baadae watu haohao utataka uwahamishe kwa fidia, mwisho wasiku barabara inatokea imepindapinda kama nyoka!

Ni jambo la kushangaza kwamba Tanzania tunazidiwa na Nchi zote za Afrika Mashariki kwa mtandao na ubora Wa barabara isipokuwa Burundi.

Hivi kama Nchi hatuna dira,malengo na mkakati wa kutekeleza kwenye kila sekta Ili tupate ufanisi? Inakuaje kila kitu tuko nyuma? Tena tunazidiwa na Vinchi masikio kama Rwanda na Uganda?

Lazima kuna tatizo mahala maana haiwezekani kila kitu cha kutumia akili zetu sisi ni WA mwisho isipokuwa vitu vilivyowekwa na nature tuu.

Wakati tunajipiga kifua kwenye flyovers na madaraja ya suspension bridge kama la Kigongo-Busisi ,huko Jinja Uganda vipo siku nyingi Sana.
