5.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Off Tanzania, EMSC Says
In 2017, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake at the border with Uganda and Rwanda near Lake Victoria in northern Tanzania killed at least 13 people and injured 203.
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake has occurred off the Tanzanian coast, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The quake took place about 77 kilometres (48 miles) southeast of Dar es Salaam at a depth of 10 kilometres (6 miles). There have been no immediate reports about damages or casualties caused by the earthquake.
