Uchochezi wa Mohamed Said na dhihaka kwa Wapigania Uhuru wa Tanganyika na Zanzibar

Alhamdulilah.

Hakika hii ni faraja kubwa kwangu.

Maalim wangu Sheikh Haruna akisema, ''Someni kwa utulivu na acheni uvivu.
Ilm hii mtakuja kuona faida yake Insha Allah. Mtakuwa rais.''

Sheikh Haruna akifafanua rais kwa kusherehesha mno akisema ''rais'' maana
yake pale penye jambo la wasomi wewe mwenye ujuzi ndiyo utatawala.

Leo nashuhudia hekima na ukweli wa maneno ya maalim wangu.

Leo mnajikusanya majeshi na majeshi mje mpambane na Mohamed Said mtu
mmoja yuko peke yake.

Hawa wa JF hawatoshi, mnawaita sasa watu kutoka Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation,
Kigoda Cha Mwalimu, BAKWATA...

Mmeona mtu mmoja hamumwezi Mohamed Said.
 
Umesahau Kanisa Katoliki. Huyu kiongozi alikuwa peke yake.
Cha mwisho kufikiria huwa ni masuala ya makanisa na misikiti. Halafu tofauti yetu na Mzee Mohamed haitakuwepo! Mwalimu hakuwahi kuchanganya masuala yake ya IMANI na UONGOZI wa NCHI. Sio hilo tu, hata familia yake aliiweka mbali kabisa na masuala haya ya UONGOZI. Ndio maana haukuwahi kusikia vitu kama EOTF, WAMA, Mama Maria kuwa mjumbe wa NEC, hata wanae wameingia kwenye siasa yeye ameshaondoka madarakani.

Mwanaharakati,

Maktaba ya CCM Dodoma, Nyaraza za Taifa Dar es Salaam zile nyaraka muhimu zimenyofolewa.

Maktaba ya Dodoma ya CCM ilikuwa chini ya archivist Said Ngwangwa. Huyu kijana sasa ni marehemu. Alijitahidi sana kunisaidia kupata nyaraka za TAA na TANU za mwanzoni mapema 1950.

Mafaili yote niliyoletewa yalikuiwa matupu.

Pale lipo file la Abdu Sykes, Hamza Mwapachu haya ndiyo niliyoonyeshwa lakini ndani hakuna karatasi hata moja.

Hali ni hiyo hiyo Tanzania National Archives (TNA).

Piteni huko mashuhudie nyie wenyewe kwa macho yenu.

Historia ya NCHI haiwezi kuandikwa na mtu mmoja. Historia ya kweli ya nchi inataka akili na mawazo ya wengi. Hatutaki mtu mmoja aandike SIMULIZI kama hii ya kwako. Shida moja kubwa ya kitabu chako kile ni kuwa mengi uliyoyaandika mle umesimuliwa tu. Na ili kuyapa uhalali ukaingiza na DINI ya wahusika mle. Ukasahau asili na makabila yao!

Kumbuka pia kwamba hata vile vitabu vitukufu, Quran na Biblia havikuandikwa na mtu mmoja kajifungia chumbani kwa mkewe.
 

Naomba idhini yenu nitoe ushauri kama mtaridhia.

Nyie mmetaharuki.
Kitu ukikifanya katika hali ya taharuki hakiongoki.

Ngoja nikupeni mfano mdogo.

Mie hosoma post zenu kwangu na kwa wengine.
Mnaandika mkiwa mmeghadhibika na taharuki inaingia.

Nini matokeo yake?

Mara nyingi mnaishia katika maneno makali na hata matusi
na kejeli.

Katika njia hii mnashindwa kirahisi sana.
Huenda nyie wenyewe mkaona mmemuweza mtu...

Lakini wafikirie wale wengine wanaokusoma wanaposoma matusi
au kejeli zako.

Fikiri watu wale wanakuonaje?

Sasa hili la kuandika kitabu kwa kweli ni kitu cha hekima sana lakini
kuandika kunataka utulivu wa fikra.

Huwezi kuwa na utulivu wa fikra katika taharuki.

Achana na tabia yako hii kujifanya unajua kuzisoma akili na mawazo ya watu wengine. Tabia hii umeifanya sana kwa Mwalimu na hata wazee wako. Kila mara umekuwa unajifanya kufikiri kwa niaba ya watu wengine. Matokeo yake umekuwa unaongopa sana. Umejuaje watu tumetaharuki? Unalithibitishaje hilo ilihali wewe sio Mungu wetu? Tutakapofikia kuandika kitabu na kwakuwa tuko wengi, halitaharibika neno.

Wewe umeandika mtu mmoja kitabu kile, si unaona kilivyopokelewa kwa hisia na mitazamo tofauti? Si umeona kinavyotishia AMANI na usalama wa jamii zetu?

Huku ndiko kuishiwa hoja tunakozungumzia,kama wote mmeridhia kuwa katika mjadala kwa kauli njema,matusi ya nini?
Thats why tunawakumbusha si lazima kwenu ninyi kuukubali ukweli huu,hamjalazimishwa,kutoa lugha za matusi ni ishara tosha ya kuishiwa hoja.

Pole sana kwa kukwazika..Ila nadhani ambaye alipaswa kukwazika zaidi alikuwa ni Mzee Nyerere..yeye kwenye kitabu kile ametajwa kwa jina na yooote aliyoyafanya yamaorodheshwa. Sasa wewe Paco, kaka yangu Mgosi Nguruvi3, Mzee wa Uhamishoni Mwanakijiji, Yericko n.k.n.k ...hivi mtakuwa na ukweli upi kumshinda mwalimu Nyerere..au unataka kufurahisha baraza tu kaka?

[TD] Waikela educated me about how Muslims as a political force supported Nyerere and the struggle for independence. He also briefed me about his days in detention with my grandfather at Uyui Prison for ‘mixing religion and politics’. I am indebted to him for putting at my disposal photographs of the period and his personal papers on the Muslim ‘crisis’which emerged soon after independence. I am grateful to Waikela for encouraging me to write this book and to write on the plight of Muslims as a result of their marginalisation by Nyerere’s regime. Unlike many of my informants, Waikela allowed me to quote him without any fear. He was pleased to see that the information he had was being put to good use in preserving the history of our country for the benefit of future generations. He also put me in touch with other patriots like Mohamed Mangiringiri, Ramadhani Singo and others, whom I interviewed at length. [/TD]

[TD] This work would not have been possible if it were not for the moral and material assistance I received from Ally Sykes. Ally Sykes allowed me to interview him on many occasions in spite of his busy schedules managing his business from his city center office. He allowed me to consult his own private files, personal letters, diaries and other family records. These records were kept in a safe which I was informed remained untouched for over thirty years. Going through the files I was amazed by Ally Sykes’ obsession with record keeping. Every piece of paper with information was kept, however trifling it may have seemed during the struggle -a 1954 pencil note from Zuberi Mtemvu to Ally Sykes, informing him of a discussion he had with Nyerere about him and TANU; a 1953 money order receipt from Ally Sykes to Japhet Kirilo during the Meru Land Case; an undated copy of the letter from TAA to Queen Elizabeth signed by the entire executive (the President, Julius Nyerere, Vice-President Abdulwahid Sykes, General Secretary Dome Okochi, Assistant Secretary Dossa Aziz, Treasurer John Rupia, Assistant Treasurer Ally Sykes) congratulating Her Majesty on her coronation; a 1952 letter from Rashid Mfaume Kawawa from Bukoba to Ally Sykes informing him of the political situation in the Lake Region; a 1963 letter from Lady Judith Listowel; letters from Kenneth Kaunda, Julius Nyerere, Kasella Bantu ... the list is endless. This habit was apparently inherited from his father who used to file each and every piece of paper which had any information worth noting. [/TD]

[TD="width: 601"] It is a pity that I could not get access to Abdulwahid’s diaries, which I understand had many entries in shorthand and are untranscribed. I was also not able to obtain World War I memoir of Kleist Sykes. There is no doubt whatsoever that these documents are invaluable. It is my hope that one day these important documents on the history of the Party and of our nation will find their way to the Tanzania National Archives for the benefit of future generations. [/TD]

The result of all this is what I believe to be an authenticated historical narration of the life and times of Abdulwahid Sykes and other forgotten patriots to whom the country, CCM and the Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, owe so much in one way or another.[/TD]
