Fabregas ruled out for up to four months
Cesc Fabregas will be out for "three to four months" after suffering a serious knee injury against Liverpool on Sunday.
The Arsenal captain was hurt in a challenge with Liverpool's Xabi Alonso at Emirates Stadium and hobbled off the pitch at half-time. Arsène Wenger hoped Fabregas' spell on the sidelines would be limited to a matter of weeks but his worst fears were realised after the Spaniard went for a scan on Monday.
"The news is not good because it is a partial rupture of the medial knee ligament which is taking three to four months injury time," revealed Wenger at his pre-match press conference. "We count four, we know he will be working very hard to come back earlier but I count four months.

Tomas Rosicky
Tomas Rosicky will be back in March "at the earliest". The Czech midfielder was last seen in an Arsenal shirt on January 26 when he hobbled off after nine minutes of the FA Cup tie with Newcastle at Emirates Stadium. The problem turned out to be his hamstring tendon and, according to Arsène Wenger, "the recovery period was slower than expected". Rosicky underwent revision surgery in Germany in November but it will be well into the New Year before the 27-year-old plays again. "He's doing rehab at the moment," said Wenger. "He's back here on December 17 and then hopefully we can start to work with him. But it's a long-term prospect - maybe March at the earliest."
Theo Walcott
The winger dislocated his shoulder during an England training session on Tuesday November 18 and will not play until next year. However, reports that his injury could blight the rest of Walcott's career appear to be wide of the mark. "Theo had a dislocated shoulder and he had surgery. He will be out three months," confirmed Wenger
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted he could now make a move for new players in the January transfer window.
"It is more likely but we also have internal solutions and we are not desperate," said Wenger.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*
No AW you don't have internal solution to fill Fabregas' gap, you need to make a move NOW in order to sign new players during January's transfer window.
Ila Wenger mbishi duuu! Utafikiria jamaa mfupi, ila ukimwona bonge ya giant lol!!
Man City wanamtaka Toure. Noma noma!! Maana akiondoka january huyo dogo aliyecheza juzi na Gallas huwa anapwaya kichizi. Aint lookin' gud. All of a sudden we miss Senderos!!
...hell no! Senderos alikuwa anamfanya Drogba 'mfungaji mtarajiwa' kila siku Arsenal Vs Chelsea...
I dont miss that guy at all, yule namfananisha na Pascal Cygal tu, 'mentally blocked,' clueless! halafu wote hao wawili walikuwa na bahati kweli ya kujifunga!
...bado sijapata jibu kwanini Toure ame drop sana. Kabla ya Gallas alikuwa Centre half ya uhakika, baada ya kuondoka Sol Campbell.
Miaka nenda rudi, solid defence ya Arsenal ilikuwa chini ya waingereza, kina Keown, Winterburn, Tony Adams, Lee Dixon, Sol Campbell,
... nadhani AW arudi kwenye drawing board, kuwa recruit the likes of Micah Richards, Glenn Johnson, Jonathan Woodgate, nk.... wakati tukiomboleza ressurection of Mathew Upson!
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov wants a number of questions answered over the boardroom upheaval at Arsenal following the exit of Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith.
Usmanov, a major shareholder with the Emirates club, has also denied he is set to increase his 24% stake by purchasing Lady Bracewell-Smith's holding of just under 16%.
Lady Bracewell-Smith left the north London club last week and has since hit out at her "appalling" treatment.
Usmanov has expressed his disquiet and is now awaiting answers from his London-based partner Farhad Moshiri who is ascertaining the reason behind the "sharp changes" at the club.
Usmanov told The Guardian: "What has happened in the last year poses questions.
"When in the space of a year four members of the board of directors are sacked, when the general director whom everybody had praised is changed, we consider that to be a huge matter - just to sack a major shareholder (Lady Bracewell-Smith) without explanation.
"Mr Moshiri is now in London and is trying to find out the reasons for these sharp changes and according to what explanation we get, we will decide our strategy."
The Uzbek metals magnate bought into Arsenal when he paid former vice-chairman David Dein around £75million for his 14.65% stake in April 2007.
Despite concerns, Usmanov denies he is about to buy Lady Bracewell-Smith's stake.
"I have not held any negotiations with her about a purchase.
"I haven't seen her and so far she has not announced that she wants to sell.
"There is no point in discussing something that doesn't exist."
