Imepokewa kutoka kwa Abdullah kuwa Mtume (s.a.w.w.) amesema: “Nilimwona (katika ndoto) mwanamke mweusi mwenye nywele chafu akitoka Madina na kukaa Mahai’a, yaani, Al-Juhfa. kuhamishiwa mahali hapo (Al-Juhfa).

Imepokewa kutoka kwa Anas bin Malik: Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu amesema: "Msikilize na kumtii mtawala wenu hata kama alikuwa ni mtumwa wa Ethiopia ambaye kichwa chake kinafanana na zabibu kavu."

Katika Hadith nyingine, Mohammed amenukuliwa akisema kuwa Weusi ni, "watumwa wa pug-nosed". (Sahih Moslem juzuu ya 9 ukurasa wa 46 na 47).

Huu sio mfano pekee wa Muhammad kutumia vifafanuzi hasi vya kimwili kwa wasio Waarabu. Anafafanua Waturuki “kana kwamba macho yao ni mboni za nzige na kana kwamba nyuso zao ni ngao zilizopigwa kwa nyundo” au “ngao zilizofunikwa kwa ngozi.” (Bukhari 2928, Ibn Majah 4099)
Upendeleo wa Muhammad wa Kiarabu pia unapatikana katika upendeleo wake wa kuwaweka huru watumwa Waarabu. Wakati watu weusi ni dhahiri walikuwa watumwa bila uwiano ikilinganishwa na Waarabu katika karne ya 7 Arabia (pamoja na Muhammad mwenyewe), Muhammad hata hivyo anaangazia katika hadithi nyingi ubora wa kuwakomboa Waarabu. (Bukhari 2543, Abu Dawud 5077, kumbuka kwamba neno “kizazi cha Ismail” maana yake ni Mwarabu)
Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "I saw (in a dream) a black woman with unkempt hair going out of Medina and settling at Mahai'a, i.e., Al-Juhfa. I interpreted that as a symbol of epidemic of Medina being transferred to that place (Al-Juhfa)."

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Apostle said, "You should listen to and obey, your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin."

In another Hadith, Mohammed is quoted as saying that Blacks are, "pug-nosed slaves". (Sahih Moslem vol. 9 pages 46 and 47).
However Arabs had negative perception of Turks and Kurds also
This is not the only example of Muhammad using negative physical descriptors for non-Arabs. He describes Turks “as if their eyes are the pupils of locusts and as if their faces are hammered shields” or “shields coated with leather.” (

Muhammad’s Arab bias is also found in his preference for freeing Arab slaves. While blacks were obviously disproportionately enslaved compared to Arabs in 7th century Arabia (including by Muhammad himself), Muhammad nevertheless highlights in multiple hadiths the superiority of freeing Arabs. (
