Kilichomkuta zuchu ndio tofauti ya wanyakyusa na makabila mengine

My friend it's a decrepit thought to think that tribes can be a vehicle of development in a multi-ethnic state like Tanzania whose major means of production are at the hands of the state.

Mzee Nyerere and his acolytes, painstakingly made sure that this will be the case even for the most coming decades.

Truly, in Tanzania all ethnic groups be it Nyakyusa, Chagga, Haya, Pare were considered to be poor before Independence, and the case is still similar even after independence. Majority of Tanzanians are not even Middle Class, what's there to show for ?

The only advantage the Nyakyusa, Chagga and Haya have over other ethnic groups is that which is colonial. The colonial government in cahoots with the clergy bled them to be emissaries of colonialism.

Most of them received colonial education and became the ruling elites, even after Independence. This advantage was tried to be remedied by through the Quota System established by Dr Elinawinga but it did not yield desired results.

That's the reason why today, it's easy to find Nyakyusa, Chagga and Haya in Academia, Finance, Administration, and other white collar positions than other ethnic groups because of this historical advantage. It doesn't signify that they're smarter than any other ethnic group.

Now, it becomes tricky, offensive and genocidal if a person would parrot stereotypes against other ethnic group. Because the Nyakyusa even if they're a tribe, they are not a political or a cultural monolith. They don't have a pre-colonial political or social structures which would identify them as a single collective. We abolished the Chieftains in 1963.

So apart from being culturally Nyakyusa, they owe their identity to Tanzania as a state, and same is true for other tribes.

Ethnic groups that can flaunt economic dominance of Tanzania are those from Asia, particularly Indians and Arabs. They are still a monolith and have their social structures intact.

They're large scale agriculturists, industrialists and merchants who trade in both wholesale and retail. They occupy all the top echelons of the economic pyramid enough to influence State Policies because they pay a lot of tax. Now, these are the people you ought to be concerned about.

They can affect both our lives at a whim, either directly or indirectly. At a flex they can make sugar and other important commodities disappear from the Market overnight, or they can even chose to create inflation and asset bubbles, which can make our lives really difficult.

The rest of native ethnic groups are employed by these people, because they have a large workforce than that of the state. And you can't loathe them for this because they also have a colonial advantage.

Indians, Persians and Arabs starter doing business along the East African coast since 18th Century, even before the advent of colonialism. It took them almost 250 years to be what they're today.

It's absurd when a black native, who owns a pawn shop or a bakery in the neighborhood to think that he's superior than other black native who doesn't. With exception of few rich Tanzanians, the Nyakyusa, Haya, Chagga have nothing to show for, if compared to 60000 Asian minority, who really own this country.

This thread have been about nothing but a buzz of cynical stereotypes, parroted by intellectual dwarves. All the facts claimed to have been said are nothing but stereotypes fueled by ethnic hate. While some of the ugly facts said about the Nyakyusas may bear some elements of truths they're nothing but stereotypes.

I finish by defining STEREOTYPES, these are half truths and facts fueled by prejudice and hate towards a certain ethnic group. These half truths often paint a negative picture.

This UKABALI dialogue may look noble and innocent at the top, but deep down it's nothing short maniacal SATANISM.
