Siku utatoka kijiweni na kuacha kutegemea hadithi za hapo ndio utakua, lakini kwa sasa sina jinsi ya kukusadia. Waache vijana wajasiri waliosoma zaidi yako na wenye uwezo wa kufikiri zaidi yako wavuke mpaka na kupata riziki yao.

Hii mijadala haihitaji hasira. Eleza hoja na unieleweshe kwa hoja.
Tufanye kama vijana wa kileo wanavyosema ...wacha maneno weka mantiki au UKWELI.

I think it is true. Doctors in Kenya did not want Money alone, they said they needed their ratio to patients increased, I think this was also among things discussed on return to work.

Kenya is likely to source doctors from Tanzania, Rwanda, Cuba and India to bring the workforce to about 10,000

It is sad that even the Kenyans on this thread didn't realise what their doctors were fighting for in the first place.
This agreement to bring in (and at the same time train locally) more doctors was part of the return to work formula along with facilities, equipment upgrades etc. Kenyans this is to your health benefit, this is set to make u a healthier population. I expected the Tanzanians to be up in arms but not the Kenyans. SMDH.

• In December, Ms Tabitha Bitali had also been turned away from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, where she was scheduled to undergo a goitre operation.
• Some patients were turned away from public hospitals while others were abandoned in the facilities as doctors stayed away from their duty stations

Dreamliner itasaidia kuongeza mapato ya nchi ambayo ndio yataongeza wigo wa serikali kuajiri. Huwezi kutumia mapato yako yote kwenye kuajiri madaktari na kutoa mikopo kwa wanafunzi bila kuongeza vyanzo vya mapato.

JPM angekuwa anatafuta umaarufu wa kisiasa angetumia mapato yote kuwapa mikopo wanafunzi na kuajiri kila mtu, je mwisho wake ungekuwa nini na mapato hayaongezeki wakati watu wanaongezeka?

Sasa hivi nguvu kubwa imeelekezwa kwenye kukusanya kodi na kuongeza vyanzo vya mapato ili kupata ujeuri wa kulipa waajiriwa wengi zaidi.

Hehehehe!!! Man you are thick, actually several millimeters thick and no amount of education can make you better, you are a gone case. You opened a thread asking this very question and Kenyans participated painstakingly trying to educate you and it's so sad and shocking that you got thicker and worse.

At no time did any Kenyan insinuate the lack of adverse effect, we simply put it clearly that the situation was mitigated (made less severe) by the fact that we have a vibrant private sector, with so many cheaper private medical facilities all over the estates. It'd have been disastrous had this strike happened say in Tanzania where a huge percent of the population depends heavily on services subsidized by government.

KMPDU secretary general Ouma Oluga has criticised the government for bringing new doctors from Tanzania yet Kenya has many unemployed doctors.

"Kenya has about 1,400 doctors awaiting employment. It would be very costly and therefore a show of imprudent public finance management to have 500 Tanzania doctors at Sh20,000 per day," he said.

I'm discussing the issue with a guy who can think, conceptualize and link ideas. Kumbe du.... If there where no adverse impact on Kenyans health.... why your government even after boycott is over decided to hire a good number of doctors from Tanzania? For a smarter guy would think that health sector was in bad condition even before the doctors strike. The strike just came to unveil the situation. This is why your govt did this to fix the misfortune.
