Tanzania yanunua "ITX Bullet Trains" kutoka Korea Kusini

Why do you think you will get the one in the video and not this one in the picture? Cause as far as train prices are concerned, $60m can`t get you what you are wishing for. This one is also an electric Korean made train

Evidence? At that price of $60mln we get more than 3 sets (of 6 cars each) of ITX-Saemaul EMUs ! Check the price of one in this report.

Woojin will deliver a total of 150 cars to Korail.

Woojin will deliver a total of 150 cars by mid-2021, with the order comprising 27 four-car and seven six-car EMUs.

The EMU-150s are designed for 165km/h running, but will operate at a maximum speed of 150km/h.

This the first time Woojin has secured a contract for intercity trains on Korail’s network, which has been dominated by Hyundai Rotem vehicles until now.

“This will be a great opportunity for us to expand our rolling stock business to other markets once the vehicles have been delivered successfully,” a spokesperson for Woojin told IRJ. The company says it is also looking at other opportunities in southeast Asia.

In addition to the order from Korail, Woojin recently secured a $US 20m contract to supply six two-car light metro trains for Incheon Line 2. Deliveries will be completed by June 2021.

This one maximum speed is 110km/h, it is mainly for short distance because of the spead and has few seats and bigger space for People to stand like in BRT.

It is no longer manufactured for export markets because soon they will stop its production.

Another reason is the price, we have paid $60M per 5 EMU, that means every unit costs $12M, that price correlates with ITX trains. Those Mungughan-ho are extremely cheap.

ITX speed is 165Km/hr, unit price is between $12 - 15M per unit.

So you mean that your entire line is only going to be run by 5 EMU? Two passenger locomotives and three cargo locomotives? Remember Kenya has a total of 56.
