Siku ya Jumapili ilianza siku ya Jumamosi jioni baada ya jua kushuka - siku ya tatu.
Sawa kwa utaratibu huu ni kuwa Ijumaa inaanza Alhamisi Jioni hadi Ijumaa jioni- siku ya kwanza; Jumamosi inaanza Ijumaa jioni hadi Jumamosi jioni-siku ya pili; Jumapili inaanza Jumamosi jioni hadi Jumapili jioni-siku ya tatu. Lakini yeye alifufuka jumapili asubuhi kabla siku ya tatu haijakamilika!

In simple language, this means that any part of a day was counted as a whole day.

Wayahudi wakishaona jua limezama na nyota tatu... zimetamalaki angani basi kitendo hicho kilihesabiwa kuwa ni mwanzo wa siku nyingine hivyo ikiwa Yesu labda angefufuka siku ya Jumapili saa 10 alfajiri au siku ya Jumapili saa 6 mchana still bado ingehesabika kuwa ni siku ya tatu.

Hapo ilikuwa yapata saa sita, kukawa giza juu ya nchi yote hata saa kenda, jua limepungua nuru yake; pazia la hekalu likapasuka katikati.
Yesu akalia kwa sauti kuu, akasema, Ee Baba, mikononi mwako naiweka roho yangu.
Alipokwisha kusema hayo alikata roho. Yule akida alipoona yaliyotukia, alimtukuza Mungu, akisema, Hakika yake, mtu huyu alikuwa mwenye haki.

Tunaona asubuhi wakakuta kafufuka.

Hata siku ya kwanza ya juma, ilipoanza kupambazuka, walikwenda kaburini, wakiyaleta manukato waliyoweka tayari.
Wakalikuta lile jiwe limevingirishwa mbali na kaburi, Wakaingia, wasiuone mwili wa Bwana Yesu.

Lakini hebu tena soma haya mafungu kwa kiswahili na kiingereza halafu utafakari. Kwamba Yesu asema atakaa kaburini three days and three night, halafu wewe useme hata akikaa masaa matatu ya ijumaa ni siku nzima.Sikubaliani na wewe.
