Infrastructure will not be one of top priorities in such developing country like ours?

Infrastructure dev't is paramount but balancing is of utmost importance. One of the major problems in Tz is credit creation due to low spillover effects as a result of contractual monetary policies and resources repatriated to capital expenditure at the expense of other sectors.
For example if the gov't spent trillions in SGR then it should overlap with investment in those sectors which employ more Tanzanians. Say agriculture..... Irrigation schemes, Modern farming equipments and so on.

On the contrary, ALL resources are focused on infrastructure dev't and other sectors are capsizing!!

You're an economist, talk about opportunity cost. How on earth u invest in 2 or 3 mega projects at a go!! More so two projects on the energy sector. Why wouldn't you invest in one say LPG plant and supply electricity then Hydro power plant can wait or vice versa!!

BOTTOM LINE: Infrastructure dev't is crucial but there should be a balance between resources spent on infrastructure and resources spent on other sectors of the economy. That's economics, one at a time.

It is unfortunate I can not effectively comment on economics issues now : Since I have just been contracted for similar assigments on alternative micro econimics with focus on outflows on econimic convergencies.

Na huwa sipendi kuanza kusema , Ninachosema hapa ni mimi Gerald maoni yangu binafsi na hakiwakilishi Gerald wa WB ....... wakati ni wewe huyo huyo. Sio sawa.

Lakini mkuu hauoni kuna conflict of interests kucomment masuala ya siasa ilihali upo private sector hasa kitengo nyeti kma hiko tena kwa verified account?

Otherwise kutojibu mada kwa kisingizio cha professionalism ilihali mada zingine za kisiasa unashiriki ni contradiction? Unless unaogopa ukikosoa sera za kiuchumi uta compromise nafasi yako.

I guess using an anonymous ID is a better option in such circumstances.
